im thinking of buying a cobra hh325 hand Held Marine Radio?
any advice would be usefufl
I have never used the H325 however I have used Cobra before and I would recommend you go for the Icom M31 over the H325. Although a little more expensive at around £99 the quality of it is so much better.
I have been using the M31's for about 6 years now, they have been dropped numerous times, one of them sat on the bottom (in salt water) for 7 hours before the tide was low enough to recover it, it was still turned on when it came out!! Quick hose off with fresh water and we were using it again. I have two of them personally and use them at work all day everyday.
I couldn't recommend them enough.
The only thing I have had to do with the Icom is replace the battery pack after 3 years of constant abuse.
